Information We Collect
When you create an account or use e-Gab SMS to send Bulk SMS, WhatsApp, Email, OTP or USSD messages, we collect the information you provide directly — account details, billing information, and the contact lists you upload for sending. We also collect technical data generated by using the platform, including API request logs, delivery status callbacks, and campaign performance data.
How We Use It
We use account and technical data to operate the platform: authenticating your account, processing message sends, tracking delivery status, calculating unit balances, and providing the reporting and analytics shown in your dashboard. We do not use your contact lists or message content for any purpose beyond delivering the messages you send through us.
Message Content
Message content and recipient lists you upload belong to you. We process this data solely to route your messages through the relevant gateway (SMS, WhatsApp Business API, email or USSD) and to log delivery status for your reporting. We do not sell, rent or use your recipient lists for our own marketing.
Sharing & Disclosure
To deliver your messages, we share the minimum necessary data with our delivery partners — SMS gateway providers, Meta's WhatsApp Business platform, and our email delivery infrastructure. We do not sell personal data to third parties. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect the security of the platform.
Data Retention
We retain message and delivery logs for as long as needed to provide reporting, resolve delivery disputes, and meet our own regulatory obligations, after which data is archived or deleted according to our internal retention schedule.
Security
Access to the platform is protected by authentication and role-based permissions. Webhook endpoints that receive delivery status updates are protected against unauthorised submissions. We continue to invest in strengthening these protections as the platform grows.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data by contacting us using the details below. If you are sending on behalf of an organisation, your organisation's data-handling obligations to its own contacts remain your responsibility as the sender.
